Susan R. Nutter

Susan R. "Sue" Nutter (nee Devich), 71 of Lorain, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at New Life Hospice Residential Center, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
Born October 13, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, she came to Lorain as a child. She graduated from Clearview High School in 1959 and attended Oberlin College.
She worked for H & R Block for 17 years retiring in the mid 1990's. Prior to that, she worked as the office manager at the Pipe Coating plant in Lorain for 28 years.
She was a member of St. Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, Sheffield Village, and enjoyed sewing, knitting and traveling to casinos.
Surviving is her husband of 46 years, Lawrence "Ray"; brothers, Dan Devich of Vermilion and Michael Devich of Phoenix, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mildred (nee Kosanovich) Devich.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue., Lorain, where pomen services will be conducted at 6:30 pm. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at St. Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, 1434 Lake Breeze Road, Sheffield Village. Rev. Aleksa Pavichevich, pastor of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mark Cemetery.
