Ruth Wilt

Ruth B. Wilt (nee Houk), age 89, of Elyria, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Center Ridge Nursing Home, North Ridgeville, following a lengthy illness.
Born December 7, 1925 in Ellwood City, PA, she came to Lorain in 1950. In 1992 she moved to Elyria where she has lived since.
She was a member of Saint Jude Parish, Elyria, AARP and Saint Jude Seniors.
Ruth enjoyed traveling and sports.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Robert F. Wilt, sons, Thomas (Marsha) of Elyria, and Brian (Lauren) of Woodstock, GA; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elizabeth (Anderson) Houk; and sister, Helen Brewer, Kathleen Horton, Virginia Iannantouno.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:15 am followed by mass at 10:00 am at Saint Jude Parish, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria. Rev. Frank P. Kosem, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
