Pete J. Pabon

Pete J. Pabon, Jr. age 64, of Lorain, died on Thursday, September 06, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center, following a sudden illness.
Born on October 6, 1947 in Ciales, Puerto Rico, he lived in Buffalo New York before moving to Lorain in 1957.
He was a 1967 graduate of Admiral King High School.
Pete retired in 2000 form Ford Motor in Avon Lake where he worked as an auto technician for 27 years.
He is a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, and the United Auto Worker Local Union 2000. He enjoyed motorcycles, working on cars, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph, of Vermilion, Peter, of Avon, Jamie, of Sheffield Lake and Jeffrey of Bay Village; daughters, Denise Pabon Burton of Elyria, Stacy Pabon and Angela Pabon, both of Lorain, and Rachel Pabon of Litchfield; 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and a brother, Lou Pabon of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Rita "Jeannie" (nee Nemeth) in 2000; a son, Peter Anthony in 1975; his parents, Pedro J. and Antonia (nee Tapia) Pabon; and brothers, Richard, Robert and Reynard.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Rev. Robert Dybo, deacon of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
