Marie Salvastion (nee Stack) age 85, of Lorain, died on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at West Bay Care Center, Westlake following a lengthy illness.
Born on May 17, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY she lived in North Carolina, Florida and Texas before moving to Lorain in 1994. Marie was a homemaker and enjoyed dancing, poetry, gardening, listening to music and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters, Regina Holden of Grafton and Eileen Hill of Lorain; grandchildren, Jason Giorgini of Ward, Arkansas, Alisia Clepper of Lorain; great grandchildren, Tyler Giorgini, Brittney Giorgini, Lori Mills, Audrey Mills and Michael Kerr.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Henry A. Salvastion in 2008; parents, James and Ellie (nee Hyde) Stack; and sisters, Kathleen Morcerf and Margaret Lettow.
Private services for the family were held in the Dovin Funeral Home followed by burial at Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
