Karen J. Kocan

Karen J. Kocan, (nee Jabbusch) age 70, of Lorain, died on Friday, October 05, 2012 at Oak Hills Nursing Home, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
Born on January 24, 1942 in Lorain, she has lived here her entire life. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1960 and Lorain Cosmetology School.
Karen was employed at several local beauty shops as a hairdresser and cosmetologist for 45 years. She had also worked at Lorain Products as a clerk.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lorain.
She is survived by her sons: Anthony Kocan of Mentor and Dean Kocan of North Ridgeville, brother: Kenneth Jabbusch of Elyria, and 5 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Ann (nee Kolody) Jabbusch.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. James Becherer, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
