Guillermina Jimenez,(nee Perez), age 83, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, Avon, following a brief illness.
She was born on January 10, 1930 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, moving to this area in 1966. She had also lived in New York.
Guillermina was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel. She enjoyed cooking, drawing, needlework and keeping her home spotless.
She is survived by her children; Sonia Calderon and Milagros (Miguel) Garcia, both of Lorain, Harry Luis Jimenez, of Calif., Jimmy Jimenez, of NJ, and Lilly Jimenez, of NY, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, brothers, Victor Perez, of New Jersey, Melchor Perez, of Puerto Rico, sisters, Sonia (Eddy) Troche, Diana (Junior), Margot (Eusebio) Perez and Goyita Perez, all of Puerto Rico, Yolanda Burgos of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry in 1995, and parents, Gabriel and Arcadia (nee Martinez) Perez, sister, Maria Mercedes, in 2013, and brothers; Juan Perez, in 1998 and Jose Burgos, in 2002
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 4th, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
