Florence A. Lopusiewicz

Florence A. "Aunt Flo" Lopusiewicz (nee Michalowski), age 96, of Lorain, passed away on October 24, 2012 at Denise's Adult Care.
She was born on October 18, 1916 in Lorain, where she has lived her entire life. She attended Lorain High School and also took a few classes at the Lorain Business College. She had worked for 15 years in the billing department for USS Lorain Works, leaving her job there in 1964.
Florence was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Blue Star Mothers and the Altar and Rosary Society. Currently, Florence was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, baking, flower gardening, and sewing.
She is survived by her 3 nieces and 7 nephews, and her great nieces and great nephews.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Antoni, in 1996, her sisters; Anne Bryda, in 1990, and Mary Zwolinski, in 1990, Rose Sobotka, in 2000, and Louise Kobalka, in 2011, and her parents; Frank and Katherine (nee Zapior) Michalowski.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 6th, from 10:00 am until the time of closing prayers at 11:00 am, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 am, at Nativity of the BVM, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain. Her nephew, Rev. Fr. Ron Bryda, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
The family of "Aunt Flo" would like to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to all of the staff at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home and Assisted Living Center, and at Denise's Adult Care, for the wonderful and loving care that their aunt received through the years.
