Christine M. Gosnell (nee Kopicki), 58 of Lorain, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 at her residence while under the care of New Life Hospice following a 4 year battle with cancer.
Born May 6, 1955 in Parma, she moved to Lorain in 1977. She graduated from Parma High School in 1973.
Christine worked 32 years for Republic Steel, Lorain, retiring in 2011 as a shipper and team leader. She was a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 1104.
Christine enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Lawrence "Larry"; daughters, Jennifer Gosnell and Mellisa Gosnell both of Lorain, grandchildren, Marcus, Zarian and Dahani; sisters, Kate Legarth, Colleen Egnaczyk, Karen Stumpf and Cheryl Farley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Bernice (nee Kerr) Kopicki.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue., Lorain. Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 pm in the funeral home. Rev. Jack Ison, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Twp.
